The Thirteen Recovenants
- I admit that I am powerless over addiction and dysfunction in my life – that my life has become unmanageable and unbearable.
- I have come to understand that only a power more highly advanced than myself can restore me to sanity.
- I have made a Recovenant with the God and Goddess to turn over my will and life to their higher power.
- I will embark upon an intrepid quest for truth in order to document a moral inventory of myself.
- I admit to myself, the God, the Goddess and my Confider the direct nature of my wrongs.
- I am completely prepared to have the God and Goddess remove these faults in my character.
- I humbly ask the God and Goddess to remove all my shortcomings.
- I will make a list of all the people I have harmed and demonstrate willingness to make amends.
- I will make direct amends to those people I have harmed if possible, except when to do so would injure them or others.
- I will continue to take personal inventory of myself and my actions. When I am wrong, I will make every effort to promptly admit it to
myself and the person or persons involved.
- I will seek the causes for my actions in the review of my past lives that I may better understand my kharma and dharma in the past, present
and future of this life.
- I will make a Recovenant to improve my relationship with the God and Goddess through prayer, meditation and worship. I will seek the one
true path for my life and the will to follow it.
- When my spirit has awakened as a result of the fulfillment of these Recovenants, I will try to carry this message to others who still suffer
and to practice the Recovenants in all my affairs.
